ROJECT DESCRIPTION
You will live and spend your voluntary work at an ecofarm called Charlottendals Gård. Presently the volunteers are working on the house for volunteers, which you will live in. At Charlottendal you will get to learn basic farming skills and knowledge, like: caring for animals; planting, managing and harvesting crops; maintaining farming facilities and equipment; as well as sharing life with a community. Charlottendal is also exploring the possibilities of hosting events, workshops, courses and gatherings. The aim of your stay is supporting the transition movement, acting locally and thinking globally. Volunteers will have 5 days of work per week with variable free days.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Accomodation with 2/3 person rooms and food are included, monthly pocket money of €150 and travel is covered according to the distance from which you are travelling. The Erasmus+ distance calculator may be used for reference.
TRAINING DURING THE PROJECT
The general roles to be filled are gardener and farmer. There are people in the community who will be training you and guiding you through the tasks to be carried out around the farm area. During your stay you will be assigned a mentor for activities and a social mentor, to make sure you have both the learning opportunities and are comfortable during your stay.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about learning and experiencing farm life, taking care of animals, learning how to create a permaculture garden and above all living in a more eco-friendly and sustainable way.
